Advanced ICU Care Program

Union Hospital Clinton's Advanced ICU Care Program connects our local physicians with board-certified intensivists and CCRN-certified critical care nurses, cutting-edge telemedicine technology and a continuous process improvement program. This program provides several benefits for our patients.

Ambulatory Care
Union Hospital Clinton provides ambulatory care for a variety of patients including outpatient surgeries, 24-hour holding, blood administration, chemotherapy treatment and IV antibiotic therapy.

Cardiac Services
Union Hospital Clinton's Cardiac Department offers diagnostic/prognostic testing for cardiovascular disease, stress testing, holter monitors, cardiac ultrasound with color flow and inpatient cardiac rehabilitation therapy.

We're also proud to offer Telecardiology to our patients. This technology assures access to specialty care for patients who come to the ER or are inpatients with low-risk Acute Coronary Syndromes (ACS). Via a live video conference, a cardiologist evaluates the patient's history, listens to his or her heart tones and breath sounds, and provides recommendations for treatment to our caregivers.

Emergency Department
Staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week, our Emergency Department (ED) receives and treats patients with healthcare needs ranging from minor illnesses and injuries to multiple trauma and life-threatening problems.

We recently expanded our ED to four new treatment rooms for reduced wait times and improved patient intake. Our remodel also included a supervised waiting area, new ambulatory entrance and more convenient parking for improved patient and family safety and comfort.

Imaging Services
Union Hospital Clinton Imaging Services offer a variety of tests available, preformed by licensed experienced technologists on state-of-the-art equipment. Our services include general radiology, Digital Mammography, CT, Bone Density Testing (DEXA), and Ultrasound. We recently added the Wabash Valley's most accurate open MRI's and Digital Mammography to our list of services available to provide a comfortable experience. Laboratory Services
Union Hospital Clinton contracts with Terre Haute Medical Laboratories, Inc. for 24-hour laboratory services for outpatients, inpatients, emergency room patients and nursing homes. Most testing is done at our facility, and courier service is available for testing done at the main lab location in Terre Haute.

Med/Surg Unit
The Med/Surg Unit gives direct patient care to patients of all ages with a variety of acute and chronic illnesses and surgeries. The Unit provides 24-hour observation and acute stays, as well as swing beds.

Obstetrics
Union Hospital Clinton offers all outpatient services such as ultrasounds and non-stress tests. We also offer childbirth classes on a regular basis. Outpatient Clinic
Rotating physician specialists holding office hours near the hospital make it possible for patients to receive care close to home in specialties such as oncology, urology, orthopaedics and pulmonology.

Outpatient Therapy Services

Radiology
Providing quality diagnostic testing for the residents of Parke and Vermillion counties, our Radiology Department offers inpatient and outpatient services in nuclear medicine, general radiology, CAT Scan, ultrasound and mammography.

Respiratory Therapy
Our staff performs pulmonary function exams for inpatients and outpatients and cares for patients' respiratory needs, ranging from monitoring and administering oxygen to maintaining ventilators.

Surgery
Union Hospital Clinton's Surgery Department is equipped and staffed with specially trained personnel to address scheduled and emergency cases including minor surgery, orthopaedic surgery, general surgery and endoscopy procedures.
